Solution: Adding more nails or using longer nails to significantly reduce the risk of plywood being blown off during a hurricane.
Improvement 2: Creating a Secondary Water Barrier (SWR)
Issue: Water intrusion during heavy rains and storms.
Solutions:
- Full-Coverage Self-Adhered Underlayment: Applied directly to the roof deck during reroofing.
- Seam Tape: Used on all joints and seams of the roof decking material, followed by a nailed-down underlayment like felt paper during reroofing.
